The Engineered Quality of McLellan"

   The McLellan Mill Liner Handler

The McLellan mill liner handler was designed with various problems to be considered. The small diameter and long shell measurements, small net trunnion clearance, crowded access areas, the necessity of lifting the liner machine with a bridge crane and still be 100% self supporting, to this we addressed ourselves:

- Hydraulic pump and motor are direct coupled
to assure trouble free service. All starters,
breakers, and switches are located in one
compact, dust and moisture resistant box
     that remains outside the mill.

- Hydraulic reservoir is sized to assure proper
     oil temperature along with removable
inspection plate, filters, and oil gauge.

- Liner machine frame of tubular steel assures
you of strong, rugged construction needed
to assure longevity with minimum deflection.

Mill Liner

- The hold down clamps attached to each
corner of the machine frame are secured in
place to feed chute rails, when machine is
in operation (steel to steel). Other hold
     downs optional.

- The horizontal beam is powered in and out by
means of a hydraulic driven sprocket chain.
This beam also provides an excellent
access for entrance in and out of the mill.
The beam affords an excellent mounting for
     the optional, roller conveyor system.

- Crane - The general design is "Heavy Duty,"
     one hundred percent hydraulic

- The horizontal beam serves to extend the crane
to the far end of the grinding mill. Both
horizontal beam and crane boom sections have
been designed with high torsion resistant
     qualities.

- The liner cart operates at variable speeds for
transportation of worn and new liners into and
     out of the mill.

We have far exceeded sizes of components to assure ruggedness of design. Features of the crane are: 3 position operators seat and control console, continuous rotation, power extension and retraction, power up and down, powered secondary boom in and out. Check valves are provided to hold at full rated loads in case of accidental line failure on all motions.

   The McLellan "Rod Charger"

Rod Charger

- Design criteria reduce rod charging time to
     increase mill productivity.
- Rod rack affords both rod storage plus rod
     indexing onto charge (slope adjustable).
- Capability of laying or propelling the rod
     into the mill.
- Extendible boom to afford extension and
     retraction for charging.
- Constructed of tubular steel for strength
     and durability under extreme conditions.
