Complete Liner Bolt Buster tool shown in transport mode mounted on the air management platform.

As shown above, the Liner Bolt Buster Tool mounts to the top of the Air Management Platform for shipping or transport (slots for fork lift / eyes for o/h crane). During liner bolt service, the Liner Bolt Buster Tool is disconnected from the Air Management Platform and is suspended separately by crane, or other means, so it can properly address each of the liner bolts. The Liner Bolt Buster Tool is connected by hose to the Air Management Platform. The Air Management Platform provides the Liner Bolt Buster Tool with regulated, dried, and oiled air in proper quantity. The Platform is connected by hose to the mine facility compressed air supply.

This view shows the slim profile of the unit and the ease of access to both sides. Note the dual handles on the top tilt control (red handles) and the manageability of the control pendant. The unit has numerous handholds and is easily controlled while suspended by only two people. The unit may be quickly set down on the floor without harm on its integral support base.

The tilt system (round handles on upper left) can be operated from either side of the unit and will maintain the barrel of the Tool in the selected inclination. This inclination provides proper alignment of the barrel with the liner bolt(s) to be removed. The tilt system functions by adjusting the center of gravity of the entire unit relative to the suspension eye. Also note the sliding collar (red painted) on the front end of the impactor punch. This sliding collar, which is easily removed when using the drift punch extensions (long bolts & liners), provides the unit with a secure method of maintaining concentricity of the punch to the liner bolt while firing (preventing any damage to the mill).
